This is how Christmas travelled home with me ✨

This is how Christmas travelled home with me ✨

Why your child’s Christmas memories feel a little extra magical

Dear keeper of tiny wonders and Christmas cheer,

Every December, my studio starts to feel a little different.

A little warmer.
A little brighter.
A little more like the season that wraps us in joy.

And this always takes me back to the Christmas markets I wandered through during my travels… across winters and countries.

A snowy corner of Sweden.
A tiny stall in an old Nordic town.
A fairy-tale village in Austria (the one Frozen borrowed its dreams from).
Or Santa Claus Village in Lapland, where Christmas comes alive in the crisp winter air.

Those markets were full of tiny treasures…
hand-carved wooden reindeers, tiny woollen Santas, miniature wreaths, bells that filled the air with music.
And I remember Arya’s eyes lighting up at each little find, the way only a child’s eyes can glow during Christmas.

I picked them up one by one.
Not with a plan.
Not thinking of photo shoots.
Just gathering joy.
Gathering memories.
Gathering a little bit of Christmas to bring home.

And slowly… quietly… those little bits of Europe found their way into my studio.
Onto my shelves.
Into my prop baskets.
Into the tiny hands of the babies I photograph.

And every time a little one reaches out for a star that once sat in a Finnish winter,
or a jingle bell that once rang in a Parisian Christmas lane,
or a wooden reindeer that travelled across an Austrian postcard town…
something inside me lights up again.

Because those memories, my memories with my daughter,
now help create your memories with your little one.
And that feels like the most magical kind of circle.

There are parents who’ve come to me for Christmas shoots five years in a row.
Parents who mark December not by calendars
but by the moment their little one puts on the tiny Santa hat in my studio.
Parents who tell me their children wait for “Suchanda Aunty’s Christmas photos” all year long.

You are my people.
And thank you for letting me share pieces of my joy, my journeys, my little treasures…
with your little ones.

As Christmas tiptoes into Calcutta again, with warm drinks and warmer memories,
I hope your days fill with moments so sweet you’ll want to visit them again…
moments that become the return tickets your family keeps forever.

With a suitcase full of Christmas joy,

Suchanda

A cuddly moment from Disneyland Paris… where a little bit of Christmas magic quietly tucked itself into our suitcase.

As a mother myself, I understand how quickly the precious moments of life slip by—from the quiet anticipation of maternity to the joyful chaos of childhood. For many years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing families, capturing the giggles, the mischief, and those tender moments that make your journey so special.

My sessions are designed to create a relaxed, joyful environment where expectant mothers, little ones, and even the not-so-little ones feel free to laugh, play, and just be themselves. Whether it’s the serene glow of motherhood, a cheeky toddler grin, or the way your baby holds your hand, I’m here to preserve the details you’ll treasure forever.

If that sounds like what you’re looking for, let’s talk. Together, we can create memories that last a lifetime.

Tiny elves, warm memories, and Christmas magic ✨

Dear collector of winter giggles and warm memories,

It’s that time of the year again.
Christmas spirit is tiptoeing into our lives… slowly, gently, and all at once.

Calcutta does Christmas like no other city.
The moment December arrives, something shifts.

A little nip in the air.
Park Street glowing under fairy lights.
Nahoum’s plum cakes scenting the season.
Joyful carols ringing through St. Paul’s Cathedral.

And just like that, magic begins to happen.

Parents start smiling a little more.
Children start believing a little more.
Santa caps start sprouting all around.

Every year, this season brings a special kind of joy to my studio.

A gentler light.
A happier, warmer energy.
A playful chaos of tiny Christmas elves.

Christmas has always been one of my favourite times to photograph.
There is a warmth in these sessions that has nothing to do with sweaters or hot chocolate.
It's parents celebrating a season that suddenly feels new again… because their little person is seeing it for the first time.

The sparkle in their eyes at the twinkling lights.
Tiny hands reaching for bright ornaments.
Little giggles at bells and baubles.

These are the moments that become stories you’ll tell for years.
Because Christmas is not, after all, just a festival.

It is a feeling.
A wispy memory of happy times.
A return ticket to childhood… both theirs and ours.

As the year folds into the next, I hope your home fills with moments that warm your heart, make your cheeks ache from smiling, and leave your camera roll bursting with joy.

If your little one is celebrating their first (or second, or fifth) Christmas,
I hope this season brings you moments worth holding on to…
moments that feel like love wrapped in lights.

With a little Christmas sparkle,

Suchanda

Some memories deserve more than a screen

Dear keeper of moments that matter,

When I first started Niddledy Noddledy, albums were a natural part of how families saved their memories. Over the years, as everything moved to digital, most parents began asking only for soft copies. Life became faster, sharing became easier, and slowly I stopped making albums altogether.

But something interesting has been happening lately.
Many of my earliest clients have been coming back after years, asking:
“Do you by any chance still have our photos?”

Now, nobody sane would keep thousands of client backups for 10 plus years.
But then again, I have never claimed to be sane when it comes to preserving memories.

So when these parents reached out, even after a decade, I went into my labyrinth of archives and found their photos.
Every single time.

And that is when it struck me.
Digital is convenient, but it is also fragile.

Photos get lost.
Hard drives fail.
Folders get deleted.
Phones get replaced.
People forget where they saved things.

But the memories that my own parents saved for me… the ones I still treasure today… those are all in albums.

Albums that were held and touched and opened again and again.
Albums that travelled through time, moving from one generation to the next.
Albums that made memories feel forever, not fleeting.

So recently, I made an album again.
The first in many, many years.

Holding this album felt different.
It felt real. It felt joyful.
It reminded me why albums mattered in the first place.

Some things are too precious to live only as pixels.

We are human. We need something we can touch.
Something that stays even when devices change.
Something that becomes part of a family’s story.
Something to hold, to feel, to pass on with love.

I took a quick video on my phone because I was so excited to share it.
You can watch the flip-through here:

So after many years, I am bringing albums back to Niddledy Noddledy.
Beautiful, touchable, turn-the-page albums that capture your baby’s story in a way screens never can.

Think of them as another kind of return ticket.
Something you can hand to your child one day.
Something that can’t get deleted with a single wrong tap.
Something that keeps joy safe.

This feels like returning to something true, something personal, something worth cherishing.
And I can’t wait to create more of these for you.

With love you can hold in your hands,

Suchanda

Ten years, ten thousand smiles… all thanks to you 👏🏻

Ten years, ten thousand smiles… all thanks to you 👏🏻

Ten thousand fans. One million feelings.

Dear guardian of giggles,

This week, Facebook sent me a small notification:
Congratulations! You have 10.0K fans.

In today’s world of giant influencers, that number might not seem like much.
But to me, it means everything.

Because this 10K didn’t come from ads and promotions.
It came slowly, gently, one mother at a time.

One tiny baby at a time.
One photoshoot at a time.

Click by click, smile by smile, your love built this number.
And it feels poetic that this happened in my tenth year of doing what I love.

Ten years ago, I was just a nervous new mom with a camera and a wish to hold onto my daughter’s fleeting magic.
Today, I get to capture that magic for so many families across Kolkata and beyond.

I am grateful for every bit of trust you have given me.

And since we are talking milestones, there is one more I would love your help with.

A few days ago, I asked you for something I have never asked in a decade:
a Google review.

I always believed word of mouth was stronger than any online metric.
This entire journey has been proof of that.

But many mothers told me,
“I wish I had found you earlier. You didn’t show up on Google reviews.”

So I requested your help… and you responded with so much love.

Your words, your memories, your little stories of our shoots together…
they have all meant the world to me.

I’m now just a few reviews away from the magic number of 100.

Ten years, ten thousand followers, one hundred appreciations.
A perfect little circle.

If you haven’t written one yet, I would be deeply grateful for even a few heartfelt lines.

Thank you for shaping this dream with me.
Thank you for every like, every word, every moment shared.

I hope to still be here ten years from now, holding onto your stories, one photograph at a time.

With giggles, gratitude, and a happy tear or two,

Suchanda

My favourite Halloween memory 🎃 and the start of everything

Dear keeper of happy haunts and heart-melting smiles,

Every Halloween, this picture takes me right back to where it all began…

My tiny daughter in her witch-black dress, a crooked hat to match, and three cheerful pumpkins looking like they are having the time of their lives, perched on a tree trunk.

It pulls me back to those early days when Niddledy Noddledy was just a dream, the camera my new best friend, and Arya a very patient model (most of the time).

When I clicked the picture, something clicked inside me too.
A few weeks later, this very photo found its way into a magazine… my first ever feature as a photographer.

I still remember the thrill, that mix of disbelief and pure joy, the feeling that maybe, just maybe, I was doing something right.

That picture still hangs in my home, a return ticket to that happy Halloween day.
Every time I see it, I’m back in those early days of excitement, discovery, and calm courage.

It reminds me why I do what I do, helping other parents hold on to their own little return tickets.

Because that’s what these photographs really are… tiny time machines filled with love, laughter, and light.
They take us back to our beginnings, no matter where in the world life takes us next.

With pumpkin smiles and a witchy wink,

Suchanda

Subho Bijoya! Victory never looked this cute 😍

When light wins, laughter follows ✨

Dear collector of giggles and blessings,

Durga Puja ends with Subho Bijoya … a wish that light wins, love wins, joy wins.

And honestly? That’s every mom’s daily festival too.

When the tantrum melts into a giggle.
When the mess turns into a memory.
When the sleepless night is forgotten in one smile.

This little Durga says it best:
courage in her eyes, cuteness in her cheeks, and a lion that’s clearly just here for the cuddles.

So here’s to your own small-but-mighty wins this season …
sweeter than sandesh, louder than laughter, brighter than a thousand diyas.

With love (and extra mishti),

When light wins over darkness … in life, in photographs

When light wins over darkness … in life, in photographs

A little goddess, her not-so-ferocious lion, and the return ticket I still hold

Dear seeker of lasting memories,

This Durga Puja is special for me.
Because Niddledy Noddledy is now ten pujas old.

A whole decade has gone by since I first picked up my camera, not as a hobby, not as a job, but as a mother who didn’t want to lose the magic of her baby’s early days.

I still remember that first puja. Arya was just a toddler, dressed up in her little red-and-white, clutching a stuffed lion almost as big as her. After a long day of pandal-hopping, we returned to my ancestral home, where she found a quiet spot on the terrace with her lion in tow.

I saw the way she hugged her furry buddy, and instinctively, I clicked.
And that simple moment became more than just a photograph. It became my anchor.

Even after all these years, a single glance at it takes me back … to the laughter, the faces I love (including some I’ve lost), the warmth of family, the joy of celebration.

That is why I started Niddledy Noddledy.
To create what I call return tickets.

Tickets back to the giggles, the cuddles, the little red smudges of colour on soft cheeks.

Because memories fade faster than we expect, but a photograph holds the light.
And without it, all those tiny moments risk being lost in the blur of time.

Durga Puja itself is about the triumph of light over darkness.

And I believe photographs do the same … keeping the light alive, long after the moment has passed.
Because without these return tickets, our memories fade into darkness.

Our minds are fragile. Moments slip away … the laughter, the little details, the faces we love, can vanish into the blur. But each photograph becomes a tiny lamp against that forgetting … a way to hold on, to go back, to keep joy within reach.

So as I step into another decade of this journey, my wish is simple: may we keep making these return tickets together. For our children, for ourselves, for the joy of looking back and finding the laughter waiting for us.

And years from now, when our babies are grown and chasing their own adventures, these return tickets will still bring them back to us as the little ones they once were.

With festive love, and a little lion’s hug,

Suchanda

The real story behind my favourite photo 💕

The real story behind my favourite photo 💕

Or, how a nanosecond became forever

Dear Keeper of Split-Second Wonders,

It was years ago, when my daughter Arya was still small enough to fit in the crook of one arm.

We had travelled far, to the land of castles and stories (yes, the land of Game of Thrones).

Breakfast had just ended. We were standing outside, chatting with new friends. One of them happened to be the official photographer of the event. Nothing formal. No lights, no poses. Just sunshine, laughter, and little Arya wriggling in my arms.

And then, in a blink, it happened.
Arya turned. Reached out. Grabbed her father’s nose.
In the same instant, the photographer’s hand lifted. Eye sharp. Finger ready.

Click.

That was it. A nanosecond. A heartbeat, really.
And yet—it became one of my favourite photos of all time.

Because it wasn’t posed. It wasn’t planned.
It was pure life. Playful. Emotional. Real.

Without that click, the moment would’ve been lost forever, as so many are.
But thanks to her, it’s now an anchor to that morning, that year, that season of our lives.

When I returned home to Kolkata, I searched for someone who could do this again — who could sense a baby’s moods, move with them, and catch those fleeting seconds that vanish almost as soon as they appear.

I couldn’t find anyone.
So I became that someone.

That’s how Niddledy Noddledy began.

Born from a longing to hold on to the fleeting.
From a belief that photography, at its truest, is split-second memory-keeping.
Because babies live in bursts and blinks — and if we don’t move with them, we miss it.

I call it nanosecond photography.

So much of babyhood happens in less than a blink: a hand stretching, a giggle breaking loose, a sleepy sigh melting against your shoulder. If they aren’t noticed and saved, they dissolve into memory and are lost.

But if you catch them, they become anchors. They let you return, years later, to the sound, the feeling, the exact heartbeat of that moment.

This is why I do what I do.

For the laughter that comes back when you see the photo again.
For the tiny gestures that one day become the things you miss the most.
For the memories that can last a lifetime … and, if we’re lucky, even beyond.

With love, laughter & one perfectly pinched nose,

Suchanda

You’ll want this back. Trust me.

You’ll want this back. Trust me.

… when the room is quieter and the shoes are bigger

Dear storyteller of little lives,

Sometimes it feels Dr. Seuss has been on our shelves forever—
those silly rhymes, the upside-down logic, the books that kids want again and again.

And then, out of nowhere, he drops a line that feels written just for us:

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Isn’t that true?

The burst of giggles that lights up the room.
The glitter on the dining table that refuses to leave.
The silly song stuck in your head because someone sang it on repeat.

At the time, it feels like just another day.
But later, those are the very things we ache to get back.

That’s why I love photographing children. Not for the perfect smile, but for the everyday mischief.
The smirk that says “I know something you don’t.” The messy hair. The toy clutched like it’s the crown jewels.

I want mothers to have proof of the life they lived so fiercely, they almost missed it while living it.

Dr. Seuss was right. We don’t always know the value of a moment while it’s happening. We only learn it later—
when the house is quieter,
when the shoes by the door are bigger,
when the bedtime story gets swapped for late-night homework.

And when that happens? It’s the giggles and the glitter we’ll want back the most.

Until today’s mischief becomes tomorrow’s memory,

Suchanda

Thank you—for the laughter 😂

Thank you—for the laughter 😂

The world feels lighter when little ones laugh.

Dear collector of giggles and memories,

“Laugh, and the world laughs with you.”

I first read that line in a schoolbook, and somehow it never left me.

Because laughter does something rare.
It softens. It heals. It gathers people closer.
And nowhere is laughter purer than in the delight of a child.

I see it every day.

A sudden bubble of a baby’s laugh.
A cakesmash that ends in squeals and frosting.
A shy smile that tumbles into unstoppable giggles …

… the kind that makes parents laugh too, because joy refuses to stay contained.

Laughter is contagious, yes—but it’s also a kind of glue.
It holds us together in the small hours and the long days.
It reminds us that even in the muddle and the mess, there is lightness to be found.

And that’s why I feel so lucky to do what I do.

I can’t bottle the sound (oh, how I wish I could).
But I can hold the moment that made it …
the scrunched-up eyes, the belly-laughs, the literal LOLs
… the joyful chaos that becomes cherished memory.

So thank you.

Thank you for letting me be part of this journey—
for trusting me with the moments when your little one laughs without a care in the world.

Here’s to more of it.
More giggles. More smiles.
More irresistibly silly, unexpectedly perfect seconds that turn into forever.

With a heart full of giggles,

Scientists just proved time travel. ⏳✨ Mothers smiled knowingly.

Turns out, mothers have always had the real time machine

Dear Gatherer of Growing-Up Moments,

Looks like scientists finally discovered “mental time travel.”
You can actually step back in time, they say, if you pause and revisit how you felt in that moment.

But really? You and I have been doing that all along.

Because that’s what a photo is.

The light in their eyes before they sleep.
The soft weight of a head on your shoulder.
The kind of details memory blurs, but your heart clings to.

Click. A pause in the middle of the mess.
Click. A thread of love stitched into memory.
Click. A reminder: you were here, loving every bit.

Life runs fast. Photos let us hold on—intensely, joyfully, forever.

And years from now, when the details blur, one glance at those photos will bring it all rushing back.
Not just to the smile you see, but to the joy you felt.

Science caught up. Mothers already knew: a photo is the closest thing to forever.

So yes, time travel is real.
And sometimes, all it takes is one photo to get you there.

Until our next little time-jump,

The kind of love you can’t pose for

The kind of love you can’t pose for

Brothers, sisters, and the stories in between

Dear storyteller of little lives,

You know that look siblings give each other?
Half “I’ll protect you forever” and half “I’m not saying sorry first”?

Some bonds are tied long before the first rakhi.

At Niddledy Noddledy, I get to see these moments in their purest form … in between the “say cheese” smiles and the accidental photo-bombs. Sometimes it’s a big brother’s careful hands cradling a newborn sister. Sometimes it’s two siblings tumbling over each other in a heap of giggles.

It’s the same bond that makes them fight over a toy one moment and share a biscuit the next. That quiet loyalty that says, I might tease you endlessly, but you’re still my favourite person.

And then there’s the look — the one that says, I’ve got you. Always.

When I photograph siblings, I’m not just capturing faces. I’m catching that flicker in their eyes when they look at each other. The unplanned moments — a sudden hug, a conspiratorial grin, even the mock outrage when one steals the other’s spot.

These are the little stories they’ll carry for a lifetime.
And you don’t have to wait for a special day to celebrate this bond — it’s happening every day, in a hundred small ways.

It’s always a delight to bottle up a piece of that story — so years later, you can still feel the laughter, the mischief, and the love that filled these fleeting days.

With all the giggles, squabbles, and secret handshakes,

Suchanda

Baby photography… like Victoria Memorial. 📸 Wait, what?

Baby photography… like Victoria Memorial. 📸 Wait, what?

Can I tell you a quick story?

Hi there,

This might sound a little strange.
But the other day, I came across a bit of trivia that made me smile.

Exactly 7 years ago—almost to the day—Victoria Memorial hosted a photo exhibition called Frozen in Time.
Colonial-era images of Kolkata, captured more than a century ago.
Preserved. Nostalgic. Quietly moving.

And it got me thinking…

As a baby photographer in Kolkata, I freeze time too—just in a different way.

Then this wild, almost silly thought popped into my head:
Isn’t baby photography kind of like Victoria Memorial?

It made me laugh at first.
And then… it made a surprising amount of sense.

Both are tributes.
Both are built to outlast time.
One in marble. The other in memory.

The more I followed the thread, the more parallels tumbled out.

That was a July. This is July.
A city’s landmark. A family’s keepsake.
Both frozen in time—and somehow still alive.

So I wrote a little story.
A love letter, really—to both photography and memory.

It’s up on my website now. A quick, heartfelt read.
And if you’ve ever stood before Victoria Memorial and felt a flutter…
or looked at a baby photo and time-travelled…

…I think you’ll enjoy this. ♥️

Read it here →

Thank you for letting me share these little thoughts with you.
It means more than you know.

With love, from marble domes to memory lanes,

Suchanda

Rain, rain, go Babae 🌧️

Rain, rain, go Babae 🌧️

A soggy stroller. A tiny voice. A memory that still makes me smile.

Dear Keeper of Rainy Day Smiles,

Years ago—before studio lights, before soft backdrops and sleepy newborn yawns—I was out in the world with a camera and a little girl in a stroller.

It was one of those July afternoons when the skies couldn’t make up their mind.
The kind of day that smells like wet grass and unexpected joy.

Arya (my daughter, muse, and mischief-maker) had just learned to sing.
And instead of chanting “Rain, rain, go away,” she sang, with complete conviction:

“Rain, rain, go Babae.”

(Her dad still insists that’s the correct version.)

This photo was taken that day.
Rainboots, watermelon umbrella, and one unshakable grin.

Back then, I didn’t have a studio.
No air-conditioned setup. No quiet, sleepy-light room.
Just passion, a camera, and a dream I carried through the drizzle.

Looking at this picture reminds me why I started. Why I do what I do.
How one photo can carry a thousand feelings—and bring them all rushing back with a single smile.

This is what we hold on to.
Not just a face or a pose.
But a feeling, forever paused.

Funny how one photo can flood your heart.
That day with Arya brought it all back—the feeling, the reason, the quiet joy of remembering.

And that’s what made me brave enough, after so many years, to finally ask:
If you’ve had a session with me, would you tell the world what it meant to you?

So many of you already have, and I’m beyond grateful.
If you haven’t yet, I’d love for you to add your story too.

Thank you—for the love, the stories, and the tears

Thank you—for the love, the stories, and the tears

Your words made me laugh, cry—and feel deeply grateful 🧡

Well hello, fellow giggle-chaser,

Last week—after more than ten years—I did something I’d never done before.

I asked.

I asked if you’d share your experience of being photographed at Niddledy Noddledy.

I expected a few kind words.
What came instead took my breath away.

Dozens of heartfelt reviews came pouring in—each one brimming with memory, emotion, and love.
From mothers I met years ago—whose babies are now walking, talking, cracking jokes.
From families I’d just met last month.
From dads, grandparents, even those who hadn’t said much after the shoot—but remembered it all like it was yesterday.

Every message brought back a flood of moments.
I smiled until my cheeks ached.
I laughed out loud.
And yes—more than once, I cried.

You remembered the little things:

The soft music playing in the background.
The lullabies I hummed as I wrapped your baby.
That sunlit room where you paused to feed and breathe.
The squeals, the spills, the magic in the middle of the mess.
And how, in all that joyful chaos … we made something beautiful.

You helped me fall in love with what I do… all over again.
Not because of the pictures—but because of what they’ve meant to you.

Some of you said the shoot had become a family ritual.
Some said you never even thought you wanted photos—until you saw them.
Some called me the baby whisperer. (Still blushing.) ☺️

I remembered sessions I’d tucked away in quiet memory drawers.
You opened them.
And I’m so, so grateful.

So this is just to say:

Thank you.

Your words weren’t just reviews.

They were joy.
They were gifts.
They were reminders of why I do what I do.

In case you missed the letter last week (or meant to write but forgot), you can still share your love here:

I read every single one.
And I reply to each one too—because this isn’t just feedback.

It’s a conversation, a celebration.
One filled with warmth, nostalgia, and so much heart.

Thank you again—for letting me do this work.
For trusting me with your moments.

And for helping this little dream of mine feel like something truly special.

With love—and a grateful heart,

Suchanda

This is war. (And I need your help.)

This is war. (And I need your help.)

After 10 years, I’m finally asking for something. Here’s why.

Dear Keeper of Tiny Memories,

I’ve never done this before.

In over 10 years of photographing your newborns, your bumps, your toddlers—with milk dribbles and sleepy sighs and wide-eyed wonder—I’ve never once asked for a review.

Some of you found me by luck.
Some through social media.
Some through warm referrals from one mum to another.

But something happened recently that shook me.

A lovely family came for a session with their older child. At the end, they said, “We wish we’d come to you earlier—for our newborn. But back then, we went with someone who had more Google reviews.”

Fair enough. That’s how the internet works, right?

Except it turned out this photographer was actually a wedding photographer… who also did newborn shoots.
And that session? It didn’t go well.

The baby was over-stimulated by harsh flashes.
There was no proper feeding break planned.
The studio was cold and noisy.
At one point, he even asked the new mum to “just hold the pose a little longer”—while she was still healing.

This isn’t uncommon. And it isn’t okay.

Because newborn photography isn’t a side hustle.
It’s a calling—shaped by instinct, honed by time.
Not something you “add on,” but something you dedicate yourself to—heart, hands, and all.

There’s a reason why most of the world’s finest newborn photographers are women. Many of us are mothers.

We know what a new mother needs—when she’s too overwhelmed to ask.
We know what a baby needs—before they even fuss.
We know the 101 ways a shoot can go sideways… and we’re ready for every one of them.

And yet—Google doesn’t know this.
Google only knows numbers.

It doesn’t know I’ve been quietly building this work for over a decade.
That I’ve been featured by The Times of India, local newspapers, and photography magazines—long before many of these “new” studios appeared.

It doesn’t know that some of those photographers have copied my website content.
Lifted my images.
Copied even my daughter Arya’s name—and pasted it into their origin stories.

I have a testimonials page filled with messages from mums—real, warm, grateful notes shared over WhatsApp and email.
But it doesn’t count them. Not the screenshots. Not the heartfelt voice notes. Not the thank-you messages that still make me cry.

To algorithms, none of that matters.
Only Google reviews do.

And that’s where this war begins.

I used to think: “Let my work speak for itself.”
But now I realise—if I stay quiet, someone else’s copied work will speak louder.

And it’s not just hurting me. It’s misleading kind, unsuspecting parents… and their tiny babies.

So today—for the first time in 10 years—I’m asking for help.

If I’ve photographed your family and your heart said yes,
If your baby giggled and your photos made you cry happy tears,

Would you take a minute to share a review?

It doesn’t have to be long. Just honest. Just yours.
Because your voice matters more than mine ever could.

To all the mothers who wrote kind words without even being asked—thank you. 💛
To those who may still be wondering if it matters—it does. Not just for me, but for the next mum searching for someone she can trust.

Let’s help her find her way home—just like you once did.

With love, light, and a little quiet fire,

Suchanda

Yoga? Please. Babies do it better. 🤸🏻‍♀️😄

Yoga? Please. Babies do it better. 🤸🏻‍♀️😄

This week is International Yoga Day. But babies have been celebrating forever.

Dear Parent of the Most Flexible Person You Know,

This week, the world is celebrating International Yoga Day.
But let’s be honest—babies have been doing yoga since day one.

And not the usual poses.
Think Happy Banana. Downward Milk-Face. Levitating Snack Grab.
That move where they’re flat on their back, toes in the air, somehow trying to nibble their own feet?
Advanced level. 👏🏻

I’ve had the joy of photographing a whole gallery of these legendary moves—
Stretching mid-giggle.
Twisting mid-tantrum.
Balancing joy, chaos, and cake—all at once.

So here’s to the tiny twist masters—
The stretchers of hamstrings and hearts,
The ones who keep us on our toes (literally).

With love, light stretches & unscheduled poses,

Suchanda

He became a dad in the quietest ways 🤍

He became a dad in the quietest ways 🤍

His hands were unsure. Now they hold your world.

Dear Keeper of Stories and Spotter of Details,

You saw it before anyone else.

The way he held the baby, unsure and stiff. The way he checked if you were okay, then asked again five minutes later. The moment he whispered something to that tiny bundle—and smiled like no one was watching.

You were watching.

Because you're the one who sees the quiet beginnings of fatherhood.

It’s in the bottle-warming at 2am. The creak of the door as he peeks in to check the breathing. The way he makes the baby laugh, and then laughs harder himself.

This Father’s Day, we’re sending a little love note to the dads.

But really—it’s also to you.

Because you’re the one who notices. Who tucks those memories away. Who sees him becoming Dad, one small, wobbly moment at a time.

And those moments? They’re worth remembering.

With softness, seeing, and stories worth saving,

Suchanda

Celebrating the chaos that makes your family yours 💖

Celebrating the chaos that makes your family yours 💖

Today’s imperfect moments are tomorrow’s favourite memories.

Dear Builder of Blanket Forts and Keeper of Chaos,

Try taking a family photo. Someone blinks. Someone else runs. One parent forgets to smile. The baby sneezes. The toddler’s upside down.

And yet somehow—it’s perfect.

Because families aren’t made to fit neatly in the frame. They spill over. They wiggle and wobble. They giggle at the wrong time and blink in the middle of the flash.

That’s the beauty of it: the blur is the bond.

Today is International Family Day, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from years behind the camera, it’s this:

The best family portraits aren’t the most posed or polished.
They’re the ones that feel like home.

Here’s to the tickle fights, the photo fails, the warm squeezes and wriggly giggles—to everything that makes your version of family uniquely, beautifully yours.

With love, light & all the beautiful mayhem,

Suchanda

From all the babies: sorry about your tea, and also—we love you 👼🏻

From all the babies: sorry about your tea, and also—we love you 👼🏻

This Mother’s Day, we put their feelings into words (because they’re too busy giggling).

Dear Giver of Cuddles and Midnight Snacks,

If babies could talk, here’s what they might say (in between drooling on your shoulder and demanding snacks for the fifteenth time):

👶🏻 “Thanks for letting me sneeze in your face and still call me cute.”
☕️ “Sorry about your back. And your sleep. And your once-hot tea.”
👃🏻 “You’re not just my mum. You’re my soft place, my safe smell, my everything.”
😶‍🌫️ “I know I won’t remember this… but I hope you never forget.”

You show up every day, hair a mess, heart wide open.
You laugh when you're exhausted.
You sing when no one listens.
You love in a way only you can.

And though the babies might not say it with words, they say it with sleepy sighs, tight finger holds, and that sparkly-eyed look that says, you are home.

This Mother's Day, here's a little love note from the tiniest hearts in the house:
You're doing magic. Even when it feels like mess.

With all the burps, giggles & squishy love,
