“Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!” ~ Dr. Seuss
Frosting-covered smiles, tiny hands in cake …
let’s make it unforgettably fun, messy & joyful!
Come, see joy in its messiest, most magical form.
Fistfuls of frosting, squeals of delight, tiny hands turning cake into memory.

One day, you’ll wish you could go back to this moment … let’s make sure you can
You’ve blinked—and your baby’s turning one.
Suddenly, they’re standing. Clapping. Grinning with all eight teeth.
It’s wild, wonderful, and worth remembering.
Cake smash sessions are a playful way to celebrate this moment.
To capture the giggles, the curiosity, the glorious, frosting-covered chaos.
(And yes—there’s always a little chaos.)
Because one isn’t just an age.
It’s a whole personality starting to shine.
Most families book the session when their baby is around 11–13 months old.
Some prefer to come a little early to have photos ready for the birthday party.
Some come right after the birthday itself.
There’s no fixed rule.
If your baby is sitting up on their own and curious about the world, it’s a great time.
But here’s a little secret most parents don’t expect:
Very few babies actually love the feel of frosting on their hands.
Many get super excited, pounce on the cake—and then burst into tears.
The texture is new. The sensation, weird.
It can be a lot.
That’s why I recommend a little test run at home.
Give your baby a small pastry or cupcake to explore.
Let them squish it, taste it, get messy.
It’ll help them get used to the feel—and the fun—of smashing cake.
That tiny bit of prep can make a huge difference.
You’ll arrive at my cosy, baby-friendly studio in Newtown, Kolkata.
We’ll ease into things gently—letting your little one get comfortable in the space.
There’s time for cuddles, outfit changes, warm-up portraits, a little play.
The cake comes at the very end.
Why? Because once the frosting gets involved, it gets everywhere.
No one wants to do a wardrobe change after that.
So we save the messy magic for last.
After the smash, there’s a little cleanup break—for both baby and studio.
Wipes, towels, sometimes a bath.
All part of the fun.
You’re welcome to bring your own.
But if you’d rather not worry about it, I can order one from my trusted vendors.
Just give me a heads-up—cake cost is additional.
Some parents also order a cake via Swiggy or Zomato once they arrive.
That works perfectly too, since the cake smash happens after the clean portraits.
Either way, we’ll make sure the cake arrives on cue—and the chaos begins.
Bowties and suspenders.
Tutus and lacy dresses.
These are all-time favourites.
But keep in mind—things will get messy.
Sticky, frosted, sometimes completely splattered.
Some babies even crawl through their cake.
So dress them in something adorable—but not too precious.
And bring a backup outfit for the ride home (plus a towel, just in case).
One cute outfit for clean portraits
One cake smash outfit (see above!)
A towel or wipes for clean-up
A change of clothes for baby
Optional decorations or a birthday banner
We’ll chat before the session to plan the look and feel.
And I keep a few simple props on hand to add variety—if you’d like to mix things up.
Totally okay.
Every baby is different.
Some dive right in.
Some prod politely.
Some… want nothing to do with it.
That’s all part of the story.
The goal isn’t a perfect smash.
It’s to capture your baby—curious, cautious, joyful, overwhelmed, giggly, grumpy… all of it.
Sometimes the best photos come before the cake even arrives.
And no matter what happens, we’ll get beautiful, fun photos you’ll cherish.
What kind of cake should we bring?
Soft sponge with whipped cream or buttercream is best.
Avoid fondant or hard decorations that might be choking hazards.
Pastels photograph beautifully, but truly—anything goes.
Is the cake safe for babies?
Yes. Whether you bring it or I arrange it, we keep things baby-friendly: soft textures, low sugar, no harmful ingredients.
Do you do themed cake smashes?
Sure! If you have a theme or colour palette in mind, we can build around it.
I keep things simple and tasteful—but happy to add a personal touch.
Do you provide outfits or props?
I have a small stash of minimal props.
Most parents prefer to bring their baby’s outfits to match their own style, but I’m happy to help you plan.
Can I bring decorations or balloons?
Absolutely.
Bring anything that makes it feel more you.
What if my baby gets upset mid-session?
It happens. We pause, we cuddle, we adapt.
We always follow your baby’s rhythm.
I’d love to help you celebrate this sweet, silly, unforgettable milestone.
